Brent Jeffers
grew up in Oregon and California and recently planted
his feet in Nashville. Although versed in many different
areas of music, the piano chose him at the age of 8.
After years of entertaining his friends and family,
bands like Styx and Foreigner electrified the scene,
throwing Brent face-first into the world of rock music.
Following a few short years of playing in garage bands,
an “act of God” landed him in the band Stryper during
his college days. Hence, the end of Brent’s college
days. Brent toured with Stryper from ‘86 to ’89,
filling in on current dates when his schedule permits.
Post-Stryper, Brent stepped into the technical and
production end of the business, touring with Donna
Summer, Sheena Easton, Natalie Cole, George Benson,
Natalie Merchant, Debbie Gibson, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw,
American Idol, Journey and Alan Parsons, among others.
Working with Journey has been his main gig since 2002.
“Diversity is key” he says, “You’ve got to learn every
facet of the biz that you can if you’re going to survive
in the music industry.” The pros call on him whether
they need a keyboard tech, production manager, or stage
manager.
On the sidelines, Brent operates his own Digital Video
venture producing local commercials and promotional
videos. Brent also is an accomplished engineer,
musician, and songwriter. He enjoys the smell of
diesel in the morning, tuning pianos, and long walks
through a dimly-lit venue.
